More Information

A student is found unconscious, with amnesia and bizarre marks on his neck. Zak Tyler, a boy who sees 'Danger Keep Out' signs as an invitation, is prime suspect. His sister Jade, obsessed with the undead, speculates in her blog that it's the work of vampires. The strange attacks continue across the city. Always on young people.

Zak only discovers the truth when he is visited by himself. Himself from the future. Zak aged 110. Due to plastic surgery and bio-technology, he looks 20. Future Zak is no longer a rebel, he's a special agent: virtually a policeman. He tells Zak the truth: the attacks are from 'Raiders', citizens from the future travelling back in time to extract stem cells from their teenage selves in order to extend their lives further. Crucially, only the young can be raided around the alterations of puberty.

In the future, Time travel and Raiding are forbidden. Every time Raiders extract the cells they risk killing themselves, but they'll die in the future without them, so it's a risk they take. Future-Zak believes someone must stop the 'Raiders' before they kill someone or change the future with unpredictable consequences. He's come back to convince Zak to help.

When Zak tells his friends, they think he's gone mad. Then they too start to encounter their future selves... Now they all have to believe in Raiders. And work out how to stop them.
